Okay, so I’m not 28, 38… even 48, but if I were, I wouldn’t wear these pants. If I were a fashion stylist, I’d put these pants together with red clown shoes and a rally cap: a baseball cap worn inside out, backwards and sideways.
Would you believe the original price for these pants were $1,047? They’re now on sale for $418.80. That’s still too expensive! I would own these if they were free!
Then there’s this “avant-garde style” biker jacket. Really? I don’t think I want to know how much this costs. Again, I wouldn’t wear it if it were free. Does this make me:
a.) Old
b.) Not hip
c.) Have good taste
d.) Some or all of the above

I will say this: I have a blogger friend who wears harem pants, and even though it’s not my style in the least, she pulls them off beautifully because she OWNS the look. (We’re talking harem, not drop-crotch, which you’re showing here)
But I will remember what my mom taught me in regard to item number 2: “If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all!”;-)
Val,
I LOVE your comments. They always make me laugh! One of the women we interviewed for Style Inspiration profiles wears harem pants. Like your friend, she pulls it off because she owns the looks. We can do that with styles we’re comfortable wearing. For me: Leather pants, yes. Harem pants, no.

Me, too!
Each to his own! I’m in your camp but accept that others may like the look!

Jennifer,
Fashion is a lot like art. Not all of us appreciate or want to own the same things. Isn’t it great that we have that freedom?
