What can be easier to wear than a maxi dress? It’s incredibly comfy, gives great coverage, and is super chic!
This simple black peasant style maxi dress is from Chico’s. I wore it in the summer solo with sandals. It doesn’t wrinkle and goes with just about everything.
Look how easily it transitions to fall with boots and a leather jacket. Dresses just don’t get any more versatile than this one. Oh, and did I mention it’s on sale for under $50? I paired the dress with this Michael Kors leather moto jacket. If you prefer faux leather to the real deal, here are some great options HERE and HERE. I chose a chunky beaded tassel necklace, absolutely love this one!
These suede ankle boots have just enough of a heel to give me height but keep my feet happy. Similar boots HERE (love Donald Pliner for comfort!).
This black leather envelope clutch is just the slightest bit edgy with a zipper trim. It also has a chain so I can wear it as a shoulder bag. Also drooling over this studded version!
My motto is uncomplicated yet chic style, and this outfit fits the bill.
Thanks for stopping by!

Nice, classy.
Susan, I own the same dress only in the blue. I put mine away for winter but I think I will pull it back out after seeing what you did! Love the look & yes, Pliner’s are the best.

Thank you Denise. I LOVE the blue….thinking of ordering it. Throw a leather jacket or faux fur vest over it, pair with boots and you’re fall ready!
Thank you so much!
Love it! Exactly the kind of comfortable, versatile, chic look I love. And my fave color!!
Thank you, Susan – hoping they have one left in my size!!

Your piece on maxi dresses inspired me to buy one! Wore it this week–with my black leather jacket–to the Texas Conference for Women! xoxo, Brenda
