Hi Everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving day, and got to spend time with loved ones and or friends! Mine was great, spent with lots of family and two precious grand children! So here we go into this crazy shopping season.
How to stay comfortable while shopping has become more and more important to me as I have gotten older.
I’m lucky I live in Texas and don’t usually have to bundle up (although it does happen), but being comfortable while shopping is key for me.
I know some of you live in freezing cold places and are walking from place to place and have to layer up, but the least amount of clothing underneath the coat is key. I’ve done the shopping in New York, where it has been bitter cold, and schlepping a coat inside of a store is hard when hands are full of shopping bags, or you’re trying to pull the bottom sweater out of the pile! If you can get away with just a sweater or light jacket, it makes for a better shopping experience. I also recommend a hands free approach with a cross body bag and the most comfortable shoes you own.
I love the cotton cashmere sweater I’m wearing from Lilla P (everything is 25% off). It’s a heavier cotton, but works great for indoor shopping malls. The scarf is from a designer I love named Elizabeth Gillett. Her scarves are incredibly beautiful and so soft. The sneakers are one of my favorite buys this season. They’re a gorgeous burgundy velvet from Vince (sold out, but very similar linked below and on sale!). Do you all have your list ready and have you started shopping? I’m a bit behind, but at least I know what I’m wearing! Hope you all have a stress free shopping experience!
Have a great day! xx
